T-Track or Screwed Inserts - Recommendations?

I'm thinking of upgrading my basic MDF spoil board and have watched lots of YouTube videos with recommendations for this. Many people use T-Tracks, some use a matrix of screwed inserts - but which is best?

With MDF sitting on top of the extrusions on the base of the Workbee, there is little space for T-Tracks, without compromising height on the Z axis; also these make it difficult to get inserts into the T Track.

I appreciate there is probably no "correct" answer but any suggestions or recommendations would be most welcome! Thanks.

I have been using the workbee now for around a year, and today I am having serious issues. I will explain the scenario.

I came into the workshop and turned everything on. I loaded up the control panel on my laptop and homed the CNC, everything was working fine. While setting up the machine, I noticed that I needed to make a change to the design. I left the workshop (as I work on my designs in the office) made the changes and went back to the workshop . when i arrived i noticed the connection had been lost to the control board.

I have tried to reconnect for the last 4 hours to no success. The laptop is showing that the ethernet is not connected. I have double checked the ethernet properties and they are fine. I have changed ethernet cable & tried a different laptop and still wont connect.

Really struggling to work out what to do next?

Any help would be grateful

Change pause / cancel behaviour

Hi!

I find myself doing a fair bit of experimenting on the machine, for example sneaking up on the right dimension for a hole.

This means that i tend to cancel jobs a lot, then upload a new version of the file and restart. As I have the large machine, this always takes a few minutes, because the machine goes back to the home position on pause/cancel.

Is there a way to change this behaviour? I’d love if I could overwrite the behaviour to only home z on pause/cancel.

Internally, it looks like duet runs pause.g/cancel.g, so if it’s possible to overwrite those, I figure that would solve the problem.
