Katsu router spoilboard surfacing

Hi advice needed.

Looking to surface spoilboard and struggling to work out speed feed and rates of overstep and depth to achieve this.

Using the Amana #45525 supplied.

Just need some direction as my calculations seem over the top.

Recommended settings would be appreciated to get going.

This is on 1500x1500 z+1

wrong depth cut systematic

the machine never cut t te correct depth cut, 1 pass always less deep, around 1mm and other pass deeper ... around 1 to 2 mm deeper. i use the probe to set the zero, everything is tight , i use Vcarve pro , the zero is correcty set to the suface of my material , the ticckness is correctly set , and the error is variable.... i cannot correctly use my machine, when a set the same depth for the claerence pass and the final pass, the machine doesn't go the the same depth between the two gcode...

please help me !!

I have lost the connection to the control panel

I bought my workbee in 2020 Version no V2.2.1 I can’t find my receipt so don’t have an order ID and as I haven’t got this the site wont let me talk to OOZNEST! I had problems connecting the control panel and they remotely connected it for me …unfortunately last week its some how been disconnected ….is there anyone that can help please..my name is Keith

Windows Computer -Windows Crash

Yesterday, my computer crashed, forcing me to have to completely download windows 12 again.

Part of the process is to completely remove all the Apps/Programs and settings from the laptop.

The problem I now have, is that all the original software that speaks to the machine is now gone.

To clarify, I don't mean the CNC software that designs the items, I mean anything that speaks to the machine itself.

I have gone onto Microsoft Edge and tried to connect via 'Workbee Local', however for some reason it just keeps timing out.

If I disconnect the cable the computer 'dings' so there is a connection.

I vaguely remember having to download a patch or something, but I don't remember what.

Can anyone help?

Z axis touch probe error

Up grading my workbee to screw drive

As in the question title, my AMCE nutblocks have a recces, opposite side to the nut recces were the 3mm spacer and precision washer go. Why is it not solid. Thanks

Limit switch threaded and upside down

I was following the x carriage assembly and the limit switch picture was vague. At the end on step 15 where it asks you to double check, I did and now the switch will not unscrew as the threads are gone. Any suggestions? Most I can think of is destroy the switch with pliers and contact Ooznest.

Z axis only moves down when homing

Hi all.

Got the ooznest 1500 x 1500 last week.

Have a little issue here lol. When homing all the axis’, the z will only move down about 3-4mm. IKt won’t go up to the limit switch! Is there something that I have pressed to do this strange homing?

Connecting to controller without internet

I have just completed the build and I'm now looking at connecting to the controller, I have no internet in my workshop and mobile internet is not available to use as a mobile hotspot. Phone signal has always been terrible I have tried several different networks over the last 10 years.

How do I connect to the controller?

How do I check that my z axis is setup correctly

I have set dewalt router - chuck flush to the bottom of the z alumuninium profile. Turned off the work bee then manually wound to top of Z, turned on the workbee controller and set z, but when I wind it down using controller to test it doesn't return to home at top so I don't have room to add bits. Is it possible to book a telephone help slot?

But when I try to do the first home all for initial setup ,it is showing error codes on

Extreme wear on Xtreme V wheels

Hi all

I'm hoping somebody can assist me to identify the cause of why my Xtreme V Wheels are badly worn despite my Workbee only seeing several hours of use. It's mainly the wheels located on the x axis gantry, closest to the router (which I appreciate is where the main forces are applied due to the weight of the router). I'll try to upload a picture later but suffice to say some of the wheels are very worn with a complete V section made (if that makes sense).

I thought it might be over tightening of the eccentric nuts but I was very mindful of this when building the Workbee and I'm not convinced it is the cause.

CNC Laser and Lightburn

Is there anyone out there who can tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have a Workbee Z+ and have an OptLasers 15W laser attached to it.

When I'm using the laser through Lightburn (Lb), sometimes, when I switch everything on, the laser shows up as 'connected in the 'Laser' window, but sometimes it shows as 'Disconnected'.

Has anyone got any idea on why this is?

By using the laser through Lb, I don't have to keep changing screens to save Gcode and then load Gcode in the Workbee.local window, I can just press 'Start' in Lb. Secondly, because I'm using Lb, it allows me to frame the work on the wood etc.
