Hello,

I need to get help with settings for Ooznest Solid Carbide Engraver – 2 Flute that is part of Kit. I tryed to setup some parameters in vCarve but without success. I dont understand well to it.

I tryed:

Copy of V-Bit 90°.

Units: mm

Diameter D 1.27

Included Angle 90 degrees

No flutes 2

I really do not know how to setup cutting parameters etc. It is showimg me an error:

Pass depth 1mm is greater than maximum cutting depth. Maximum pass depth is 0.635

How to use this tool? That parameter do you use ?

X axis homes in wrong direction

Homes z ok. Home y ok. Home x and it wants to home to left hand side. Operation of x when jogging is fine + goes right and - goes left. Upgraded to latest files. Endswitches trigger as should. I’m sure it’s something simple, but cant for the life of me think what. Any help greatly appreciated.

workbee z1+ lost connection

Hi I have workbee z1+ ethernet and it keeps losing the connection

on every job, if i try to resume job after power loss it says no resume file found

this machine has been a nightmare from day one

Ethernet connection lost following disconnection

This has been working for over 18 months.

I needed to disconnect the ethernet cable because of an un-related fault on the PC and have not been able to re-establish the ethernet connection.

I have tried swopping cables and using a different laptop. The ethernet settings on both machines are as previous and per the book.

I have used YAT which tells me the network is ready and confirms the ip address that I have always used.

I have tried connecting the network cable with power off and USB connected, but still can't find the web page.

Increasing Z axis travel

To gain more Z travel I have raised the frame up from the spoil board by using 60mm extrusion, the machine is now all assembled and ready to go, objective is 3D milling to make large Extruded Polystyrene parts for mould plugs so the load on the frame and the spindle is minimal with the taller setup, the question is what do I need to do the extend the Z travel limit to accommodate the greater mechanical travel;, is is a simple config change somewhere or something more complex

I have got this message coming up on my screen "motor phase A may be disconnected reported by driver(s) 1". Look like there is a problem with the Y axis. If I move the Y axis one side moves before the other. Is this a software problem, or a wear and tear of bearing or motors? The machine has been working for number of years.

I've been away for a week and everything was working fine - now the y is making a sound and going out of alignment, I've loosened the bolts and nuts and all limit switches are triggered but getting the same message.

Workbee Z1 loss of power

Wiring diagram workbee z1 +,

Is there a simplified wiring and looming diagram for the Workbee Z1+. The build was quite easy but the wiring is contradictory on the OOZNEST downloads and the Eire Workshop skips over quite a lot of the wiring, I wasted several hours today running wire through the machine only to find out that they should have been in the other axis. I want to get this machine up nd running so that I can start learning the Crv software.

X axis is cutting 5mm long on all programs but not Y

Problem, I have a workbee duet wifi 500x500 running screw drive. I calibrated IE cut 60mm square, this is spot on, but when you cut a 300mm(X axis) and 30mm(Y axis) the Y axis is bang on and the X axis is 5mm longer. every time even when running other programs(Gcode) I have checked the screws and all are tight. any help would be much appreciated. cheers peter

Ooznest Z1 Workbee

I am getting this error - previously all seemed to be well. Machine homes fine. I tried using an old gcode file and setting machine in centre of the bed but still same issue.

Do I need to go back to any calibration and reset anything?

X Axis Homing Position Accuracy

Hi, I have a part that I need to machine from both sides so I have cut dowel holes into my spoil board to ensure accurate positioning and used the machine position to set the origin.

This works accurately for a time, however after I home the axes a few times I find the machine position has changed and no longer aligns with the dowel positions. The axis remains consistently offset by the same amount after multiple homings.

I have tried the following:

1) Making sure the microswitches are firmly positioned with no play.

2) Keeping the microswitches free of dust / chips.

3) Ensuring there's no excessive play in either axis.

4) Ensuring the spoilboard isn't moving.

I've only noticed the error on the x axis and it's usually around 1mm. Any ideas how I can improve the accuracy of the end stop?

Using a Rotary with the workbee and duet original board

Hoping to get some answers , we are wanting to use our Rotary with our workbee, the hardware is already there but we need help on wiring and configuring the software. We have just fitted the original replacement Duet board (our original one had broke) it has space for a 4th Axis and we are guessing the wiring is the same as all the other motors. First question I guess is how do we go about configuring the software to allow us to use the rotary

Z axis moving further down than it should on each pass

HISTORY
I've had a CNC Machine for many years and I decide to 'Upgrade' to Duet 2 and Workbee software.

I have a Gcode file that has 3 or 4 profiles to cut, so on the first profile z goes to -2mm then as it moves the z axis seems to say its going to -4 but when I measured the depth it was like 6mm.

Something does not seem right. when I checked the work zero it was perfect.

Anyone else had the z axis going further than it should?

Hello, I know the OX CNC project is very old, but I have a machine that I bought from you with dimensions of 750x750, and I also have the expansion kit for 1500x1500. Could you please tell me the exact measurements of the wooden boards where the parts are housed for cutting or carving? I believe you had them for sale, but the shipping costs weren't economical for me. Would you kindly provide me with the exact measurements for the boards for both sizes? Thank you very much.

replacement touch probe connection to main body

Hi,

Cleverly, i managed to destroy the movable part of my Touch probe (dont ask) I have a replacement, but do i need to replace everything or can i use just the metal plate and connect the device to the head piece on the main machine as that was not damaged?
