Getting an uneven bottom section on large pockets

This has happened a few times now but unfortunately this time it matters!
The uneven bottom section looks as if it could have been caused by the tool slipping down over time but it definitely isn’t because it doesn’t get consistently lower as you would expect…the two examples here are a vcarve with clearance pass and a basic large pocket, both to around 6mm depth I think. You can see the tool path pattern and irregular height fairly easily in these photos…

any ideas?

Sudden workbee fault issue

Hi there, been using my workbee for a couple of years now, when suddenly it stopped, 99% of the way through a job. Whenever I now try to power the duet from the power supply, all the limit switches LEDs, as well as the green and red LEDs along the edge, flash over and over.

If I connect my laptop over YAT with the power supply turned off, the device behaves normally and I can see the web interface, and everything reports fine in YAT, so I have no idea what these flashing LEDs could mean, and can’t find any mention of this in the documentation. Any ideas?

'G2/G3: Outside Machine Limits' error

Hi,

I’m running into the apparently infamous G2/G3 arc error when using my Workbee with Fusion 360. I picked the CNC up a couple of months ago (long after the last firmware release) and I have installed the latest post processor for Fusion 360 (V1.0.1).

I came across this video from the carbide 3d folks which seems to explain the problem - has there been a similar patch for the workbee or is there a workaround?

Outside Machine Limits - zaxis

I have been trying to dril holes into a spoiler board.

I have mounted two one on top of the other.

I set the work zero correctly at 0,0 and using a piece of paper drop the millend until it just grabs the paper.

I then set this to be the work coordinate 0,0,0 and start the spindle.

Subsequently the Gcode fails as soon as z goes negative (first plunge) with a GI/G0 alert saying I am outside limits.

When I start the spindle and ask to drill below the 0 height using the console buttons (-05mm) it fails again.

Hi Guys,

In “2. Y-Plate Assembly”, “Step 4”, when assembling the workbee 2.3.1 it says “repeat this section with the other Y plate”, which is a mirror image.
