Can you use the XYZ-probe with an engraving bit?

Trying to use a CMT 90 degree engraving bit with a diameter of 22.9mm, I don’t know if I’m just being overly cautious but has someone got any tips on how to do it, or a video of them doing it? It’s not a symmetrical bit all around and I just feel worried to ruin the bit/probe. Thanks a lot!
