Z position after corner probing 10mm above where it should be

Hi, I’ve looked through the questions but can’t see a query for the following.

After successfully corner probing using the touch probe, I set XYZ work zero and home/jog away but when I click Go to work XYZ Zero, X and Y are correct but Z is 10mm above the corner position. It worked for a few runs initially but since running WorkBee-Firmware-v1.0.7 it has always been out on the Z access. Is there a setting in the software that may need changing? The probe settings are default and confirm to the dimensions of the probe.

Many thanks for your help.

Dan

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your message, that is really strange and should not happen.

When the machine finishes it probe it will be 10mm above. But when you press go to work zero, it should then drop down.

Can you send a picture of your touch probe settings so I can double check?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your picture. The settings are correct. I can’t think of any reason why it is doing what you say. After the homing completes, you are not pressing any other buttons, like setting the Work Zero?

Hi Robert,

You found the cause - user workflow error! After probing successfully and disconnecting the probe, I was setting work XYZ first (thinking it would pick-up the probe results), rather than first going to work XYZ zero and then setting it. Hence the 10mm being out.

Many thanks for your help.

Warm regards,

Dan

Hi Daniel,

Glad you sorted it. You don't need to manually set it like that. The probe automatically will do it for the correct position.

Hi,

Exactly the same happens here, bit hovers above the work surface following the line of the cut but not low enough to touch it. I did the above without success. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Atakan,

Is it just above, or 10mm above like Daniel?
