at this point access to the stepper motor end of the x axis is impossible, due to the duet board being mounted there
when it says make sure there is enough slack in wire 6, for the full travel of the z axis, if you dont, you will home the z axis at testing stage and then things will stop working, this will be because it has unplugged the motor
getting this flat and square is the tricky bit, so far I have tried 3 flat surfaces, and they are all different, a glass cooker hob was my best bet at a flat surface in the end
at this point its worth noting not to tighten the nuts too tight as there is a small amount of vertical movement needed to square these up at the next stage, just tight enough to stay put for the next stage is all thats required here
a good 12 or 14 of the t nuts had incomplete threads, I eased these using a 5mm tap, I suppose they could have been forced tight
I have installed the touch probe, but tightened the bolt under it, I am prepared to have to remove the touch probe and loosen that bolt again if necessary.
by the picture the first z end plate should be the bottom (red arrow) not the
top, so the top should be left loose
