I agree with the other comments, motor cable 5 and limit switch 0 were too short and the slack on the Y drag chain wires were not as long as the instructions would suggest.
Also I would like to see a better quality of controller box. Looks 3D printed and feels cheap which is a shame considering the rest is of such high quality.
Maybe the way the controller box is fastened onto the machine could be better, in particular the use of drop in t nuts. They didn't tend to spin for me to engage so had to put them in first which makes it difficult to local and screw in.
Loving the build but this section has let the rest down. Only my opinion of course and maybe no one else has found it an issue.
Motor cable 5 is too short on the 1500 x 1500 needs to be about 75mm longer
The length of slack on the 1500 x 1500 machine is far too little. X axis limit switch, motor cable 5 and e stop cable needs to be longer.
On the 1500 x 1500 machine the motor wire 5 is about 75mm too short and will not fit into the controller if fed with the rest. Had to feed it into the controller without going through the square first. Makes the whole wiring untidy and tight.
drop in t nuts again. Please find a better way as these are horrible
nice one, just the detail I needed
same thing with my Z lead screw. can't use the reference plate. This step should also be done earlier to make it so so much easier during the X axis assembly. this could be done before fixing the bottom plate and then a set of t nuts could be used instead of drop in t nuts. So frustrating when the t nuts don't align and you can't see them when it is all upright.
Fixing the router mount at this stage before fixing the bottom plate would be so much easier and using t nuts instead of drop in t nuts. Doing this later is so fiddly and annoying. caused me about 1 hour delay due to the drop in t nuts not aligning properly and not being able to see if they were engaging when the whole thing is upright.
The instruction for step 8 states that it is extrusion F but is indeed Extrusion E.
