So if the spoiler board was mounted on the table Id go from 47 to 67mm on the Z Axis. I think I would like a 55mm cut so may be able to mount a 12mm board on the inside of the frame but good to know the Z axis can be increased with a few mods.
Hi there. If I attached the machine directly onto the workbench using the clamping brackets and placed some additional blocks on the outside for rigidity would that then mean that the spoiler boards supports would then become unnecessary. If I did this I would then slightly increase the Z axis by a few all important mm’s.
Alternatively, could I flip the spoiler board supports upside down and, if they protruded below the frame, cut a couple of housing slots into the workbench so that it ensures that the main frame sits level on the bench. Would this be possible with an aim to increase the Z axis a fraction without compromising rigidity. With the current configuration I will get a maximum 47mm depth of cut but looking for an extra cm of depth. At present I believe that it is the spoiler board supports that dictate the final Z axis to 47mm (as opposed to say 55mm) and if they were lowered a fraction (even removed……or maybe slightly modified) it would enable me to carry out a specific task.
