-The difference between Conventional and Climb milling on a CNC machine can be quite confusing. Climb milling is generally used for the roughing pass and conventional for the finishing toolpath when surface finish is critical. Full details of the differences can be found in the video.

-Using Climb Milling you will be discharging the chips behind your cut in a counter-clockwise direction to prevent re-cutting the chips which result in better surface finishes and prolongs the life of your tool. Climb Milling goes with the rotation which can put a lot of pressure on the material you are processing, For Aluminium and Plastics always use climb cutting for the best results.
