I'm getting high temperature warning by driver(s) 1

Can anyone help as to why I'm getting a warning message that says “high temperature reported by driver(s) 1” on the machine control thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your questions, have you got the fans installed and facing the correct direction?

Hi,

I am getting the same error as Tony, (high temperature reported by driver 1 ) , it never happened to me before. After a few minutes running the Workbee I got another warning " short to ground reported by driver 2 " and the spindle just went straight down destroying the end mill on it. I think the fans are facing the correct directions ( blowing air in the opposite direction of the controller)

Do you have any idea about this temperature warning ? And was the short to ground error created by the high temperature ?

Thank you for your help

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your message. Driver 1 is the Y-Left motor. On the stepper motor cable can you look if there are any burn mark?

There was no burnmark, I changed the fan direction ,just to try, and reajusted the Y-gantry , also I waited for the room temperature to be under 30° , don't know if it helped but now it seems to work , I am not really sure why though

@nathan Thanks for your comment, it was probably the fan direction change that resolved your issue.
