Always wear ear defenders.

Respiratory Protection

Always wear a respiratory mask suitable for the type of dust generated by the material being cut.

Clothing, Hair, and Jewellery

Always ensure that clothing, hair, and jewellery cannot be caught in the machine. Always wear appropriate clothing; long-sleeved shirts, trousers, and suitable footwear are recommended. When metalworking, gloves and an apron are also recommended.

Outlet Requirements

The WorkBee Power Supply must be plugged into an outlet that has a dedicated on/off switch. Make sure this outlet is safely accessible to switch the WorkBee on and off.

The Router Head must be plugged into an outlet that has a dedicated on/off switch. Make sure this outlet is safely accessible to switch the Router Head on and off.

Emergency Stop

The WorkBee Emergency Stop is not an on/off button. The use of the Emergency Stop should be unconditional with no decision-making process involved.

The user is solely liable for ensuring operation of the WorkBee with this Emergency Stop is compliant with the necessary safety requirements of their workspace.

Fire Prevention

Have suitable fire prevention precautions in place for using your WorkBee (e.g. having a fire extinguisher handy and clear fire exits etc.). And always follow the required fire safety policies of the workspace where your WorkBee will be in use.

End Mill Safety

Take care when handling end mills. Use suitable gloves when handling end mills.

Inspect end mills carefully before each use. Never use a dull end mill.

Always use a collet size matching the shank size of the end mill exactly.

Ensure the end mill is securely held by the Router Head collet.

Machine Safety

Make sure materials being worked on are securely clamped and supported.

The toolpath of the machine should be free of obstruction from foreign objects.

Never reach into the machine’s working area while it is running. Always switch off and unplug the Router Head to perform changes of end mills, adjustments, and maintenance.

Never leave your WorkBee running unattended.

Always inform someone before operating the machine and check in with them after successfully completing work. Never allow children to use the WorkBee unsupervised.
