Hi guys, hope you are doing well,

I’ve been using the ooznest since July 2020 without any issue. Recently, when i am connecting the laptop to the machine via cable, YAT is not showing any connection! no port is being recognized. This is while the machine was working when via WIFI through web. I have re installed YAT but it did not help.

As always, the web IP has changed now and i am not able to connect to DUET to get the new IP via M55. Please help!

Hi,

I’m running into the apparently infamous G2/G3 arc error when using my Workbee with Fusion 360. I picked the CNC up a couple of months ago (long after the last firmware release) and I have installed the latest post processor for Fusion 360 (V1.0.1).

I came across this video from the carbide 3d folks which seems to explain the problem - has there been a similar patch for the workbee or is there a workaround?

Machine makes a slight 'rattle' when leadscrews are tightened

Hello!

I have a 1500x1500 machine that I freshly set up. everything seems to be in order, however the machine made a slight ‘rattle‘ when jogging.

I thought it could be solved by tightening the leadscrews a little, but that didn’t seem to help. However if I just loosen the collet slightly and allow the screw to relax a bit it seems to run nice and smooth.

Any idea why this may be?

Weird z-axis issue when repeating a job

Hi all,

I am very new to CNC and to Workbee in particular. I have just noticed a weird issue. (maybe not so weird, you tell me).

I have run a job, which consists of two elliptical pockets going the whole depth of the material (20mm). The depth is cut in multiple passes, 2mm at a time. The cutting bit is 1/4’’ upcut flat, two flute one. The material is soft-ish wood (pine I think).

The first time the job ran, everything was fine, pockets were cut just right and the spoilboard was untouched - precisely as designed. Then I repeated the job on another piece of material - without modifying the work zero position in any way. This time around, the first pocket of the two was correct, but on another one, the bit cut more than 0.5mm into the spoilboard. At the end, the job finished ok (after all, the spoilboard is there to be spoiled), but this has me wondering about the precision of the z-axis. I believe I might have heared a weird noise during the last pass, as if the bit hit something, or something skipped in the works of the machine. But I am not sure, perhaps I am imagining things. I don’t think the spoilboard deflected or moved upwards during the cut, so I have non idea what could be wrong.

Perhaps anybody has some idea what could be happening?

Further on, trying to enable my touch probe lead to related problems as the component to enable it does not exist on my interface.
