Connecting Duet to a Network-Ethernet

Hi,

I am new to this and need some assistance. I have built the work bee cnc and have just finished putting all the connectors in place. I have tried to follow the guide set out by Ooznest on configuring the ethernet port. But I am totally confused. It is asking me to change the network settings, I followed the guide and changed them but all I get is an error message. Can someone please assist me with this?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have sent a message via WhatsApp to Ooznest. Explaining I think why I may be having some issues. I have followed the instructions as laid out

and changed the IP address to192.168.255.1, and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 which then automatically produces the default gateway to 192.168.251.0. I am then instructed to open my browser and type an address into it. http://192.168.251.2/

I should then be taken to a site where I should be able to see the WorkBee control interface. But when I go to this address it will not connect (Timed out)

I have disabled my anti-virus and firewall to see if it is that, that is causing the problem but it still will not connect. If someone could explain to me the correct orientation of where the wires go that would be a start as I can then cross that off the list knowing that they are correct.

So from my router, I have an ethernet cable connected to my laptop, giving me access to the internet. Ooznest has provided an ethernet cable as I chose to be connected that way and not wirelessly.
