Controlling workbee with touch screen

I have a workbee Ethernet version. I bought an iPad to Ethernet adaptor, but can’t seem to connect to the machine.

I usually use an Apple laptop which works fine. I want a touch screen controller, as my laptop is getting covered in dust!

We have never tried using an iPad before.

If the settings are correct. Does the USB adaptor have crossover detection?
