Workbee CNC "Filename too long" error

Hello,

i’m trying to do some pocket cuts on Workbee CNC and during cut in a middle of pocket CNC stops briefly, looks like it’s trying to move but just makes barely visible “shaking”. After what following cutting resumes being missaligned and in wrong depth.

After checking Events log i found quite few errors saying “Error: Filename too long: cap=120, dir=0:/www/…….”. Errors seems to be appearing every 1 or 3 minutes during cut till i stop it when it becomes missaligned.

What could be causing this issue?

Thanks.

Hi Laimis,

Thanks for your question.

How are you connecting to the machine, Wifi or Ethernet, and if Wifi, is it access point mode?

Hi Laimis,

Thanks for your message.

Do you have any folders in the G-Code section of your SD Card?

How long is your filename?

Robert

Morning Robert,

filename is around 25 symbols long.

Is it possible that such missaligment and cut in wrong depht can be caused because of the cutting speed (if CNC cuts slower than commands are send)? Previously i was doing slot cuts at 60mm/s but when i dropped speed to 40mm/s it's cutting perfectly

@lucky Thanks for your message. Try a different filename with no special characters, and remove it from any folders. 60mm/s is very quick for our machine, just the speed alone would be causing inaccuracies.
