Machine home with dust shoe
Does an allowance have to be made for machine home position if dust shoe is fitted. If so how much?

Hi Tezza,
If you home the machine and then drop straight down on the Z-Axis it will hit. You need to come off about 10mm for it to clear.
However when you start a job just always go to Work Zero first before starting a job, then it won’t drop down in the home position.
So it will only be an issue if you plan to cut something right on the maximum of your working area.
