Best bit for cutting 1.2mm thick Hylite?

Hi, I have a project that requires cutting a lot of Hylite, which is a 1.2mm thick composite board composed of a top and bottom layer of very thin Aluminium and central core of Polypropylene. My simple question is - what would be the best cutter for this application? and are there any specific tips for getting the cleanest edge cut? Thanks all

Hi Dug,

Thanks for your question.

To get the best finish you would want a down cut bit. Especially with the top layer being quite thin.

I think this range of endmills would be best suited to your needs: https://ooznest.co.uk/product/amana-tool...
