When using the Touch Probe what defines the XY zero?

As per the heading - when you use the Touch Probe which part of the router bit is set to zero for the XY axes?

For example: if I am using a 19mm square end cutter, is zero set to the edge of the cutter or the centre?

Secondary question: is there a limit to the size of cutter (diameter) that can be used with the Touch Probe?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your question. The zero is set to the centre of the endmill.

The endmill ideally needs to fit inside the hole on the touch probe. But I think it will still work with bigger if you start it out the hole.
