Building a Pendant can I also add a speed control dial?

Folks I am building a pendant https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheCNCGr... and I am also upgrading my spindle to the Mafell FM 1000 PV for digital rpm control. I would also like to be able to control the Speed setting slider in the interface using a dial on the pendant. Could you point me in the right direction to understand this? The Pendant runs on Arduino so I can process the dial into any format of control required.

This may be redundant as Im also using the PanelDue in the pendant but I like physical controls

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your comment. So the pendant I believe sends G-Code. So if you send commands like M3 S20000

That would change your spindle speed and thus a slider.

I am not sure how the pendant sends this G-Code and uses a custom USB piece of software, so may be worth contacting the designer of the pendant.
