Z limit switch not working after firmware upgrade

I’ve been using the old firmware since I bought my Workbee back in 2019. I’v never had any issues so I never bothered to upgrade the firmware (if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it). I just purchased an Optlasers add on and it requires the most recent firmware. I followed all the steps to upgrade but once it was all done, none of my limit switches worked. After swapping the wires in the connectors on the Duet and adding a “!” to the config file, I finally got the x and y axis’ working but the z won’t trigger no matter what I do. Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi,

Thanks for your message. When you trigger the Z-Axis does a red LED Light, go on/off physically on the actual Duet Controller?

Hi Robert,

Yes, the red LED goes on when I trigger the switch.

Hi,

That indicates the switch is working. On the interface, there is a delay between pressing the switch and the interface updating. If you press and hold the switch, does the interface update after a few seconds?

by

It does not. It stays as "not triggered" no matter how long I hold it.

Hi,

Thanks for your message. If the LED is working on the controller, then the switch is working.

It could be plugged into the wrong port, and maybe your old firmware had it configured for the incorrect port. Can you email us a picture of your wiring?

Thanks

I emailed a pic to your sales email address. Thanks for your help.
