Possible to use larger/heavier end mills?

I've been carving out wooden bowls using a 8mm ball end bit. I was wondering if it was possible on the workbee to use much larger bits ie 20mm or more (reducing cutting time with a bigger stepover). This would have a half inch shank diameter so I would need a bigger and heavier router than the small Katsu one I use now.

So question is can the workbee handle a router capable of handling the heavier bit?

Any recommendations?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Robert,

Thanks for your questions.

I am afraid we do not recommend using larger bits than 8mm shank.

However, we do sell some 1/4" bowling bits here: https://ooznest.co.uk/product/amana-tool...
