Y axis banging on extrusion

After running my 1500x1500 z1+ for a while now it’s developed a banging on the leadscrew on y axis. This only occurs when machine is at the front of the workspace and is only on the left hand side. I retensioned both sides but does exactly the same. The screw actually bangs on the extrusion as it rotates, it starts off moving ok then the screw starts wobbling more and more until it starts hitting extrusion, could it be bent?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi John,

If the Lead Screw is tensioned it should not hit the side of the extrusion, unless bent like you say. Does the lead screw look bent?

Leadscrew looks fine and only whips around the last 400mm of negative y travel

Hi John,

Ok, are you sure it is tensioned correctly, as it should not whip, especially to hit the extrusion.
