Lost connection on WIFI duet

I'm having trubles whith the connection to my workbee. The duet is on wifi. When I try to connect trugh the browser, I cant get any connection.

I tried to run M552 in YAT:

WiFi module is connected to access point wt34a, IP address …......... <LF>ok<LF>WiFi reported error: Lost connection, auto reconnecting<LF>WiFi reported error: Timed out while trying to connect to wt34a<LF>WiFi module is connected to access point wt34a, IP address …...... <LF>

Then I tried to run M122 in YAT:

=== Diagnostics ===<LF>RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet version 2.03 running on Duet WiFi 1.02 or later<LF>Board ID: 08DLM-996RU-N8PS0-7JKFG-3SJ6T-TBB7Q<LF>Used output buffers: 1 of 24 (11 max)<LF>=== RTOS ===<LF>Static ram: 25680<LF>Dynamic ram: 93348 of which 0 recycled<LF>Exception stack ram used: 308<LF>Never used ram: 11736<LF>Tasks: NETWORK(ready,816) HEAT(blocked,1236) MAIN(running,3796) IDLE(ready,160)<LF>Owned mutexes:<LF>=== Platform ===<LF>Last reset 00:11:47 ago, cause: power up<LF>Last software reset at 2020-09-28 13:04, reason: User, spinning module GCodes, available RAM 11676 bytes (slot 2)<LF>Software reset code 0x0003 HFSR 0x00000000 CFSR 0x00000000 ICSR 0x0441f000 BFAR 0xe000ed38 SP 0xffffffff Task 0x4e49414d<LF>Error status: 0<LF>Free file entries: 10<LF>SD card 0 detected, interface speed: 20.0MBytes/sec<LF>SD card longest block write time: 0.0ms, max retries 0<LF>MCU temperature: min 29.9, current 30.4, max 30.7<LF>Supply voltage: min 23.9, current 24.0, max 24.2, under voltage events: 0, over voltage events: 0, power

The strength of my wifi seems to be ok, when my laptop is standig ontop of the cnc it has no problems streamin movies an so on.

Any idear of where I made a mistake ?

Hi Mads.

Thank for your message. It looks like it could be due to a weak signal.

There is some information missing from that readout.

Please connect via USB and run the command M122 in YAT or a Terminal Emulator.

In the report back there will be a line: 'WiFi signal strength'

Values in the range -30 to -50 are good, -50 to -60 is OK, -60 to -70 is marginal. Anything below -70 is weak and likely be unreliable.

If the signal strength is -60 or below you need to improve the strength where the machine is located or switch to access point mode.

How is 30 to 50 good if anything below 70 is weak and below 60 needs improvement??? This is more like a riddle than an answer.

@terryjan Thanks for your comment. They are negative numbers. So below -60, would be -61, -62, -63 etc etc. Rob
