How do I route the router cable?

I’ve left the router cable outside of the cable track, but I need to get it away from the moving parts of the machine. How do people do this?

Related - I have an enclosure, so I wonder if there is a good way to route the cable out of the enclosure - beyond just cutting a 3-pin-plug-sized hole in the back, and then hooking it up to an extension lead….

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Andrew,

The best way is to up to the roof of the enclosure, fix it to the middle extrusion. Then to the back of the enclosure then through a hole in the table.

Thanks - how would you attach the cable to the top of the enclosure? I just had a look now, and it seems it would be best to have some kind of sliding clip, but I can’t think of a way to do that with the v-slot…

Why the roof support is ranked as the best option, why don’t you use the main cable route for a router wire as well as the other machine wires?

Hi, because the router wire is a high power cable, it can cause interference with some other of the other cables, so it is best to go up to the roof and away.
