Stepper Motors + High Temperature Warnings

Hello

Recently bought a Workbee 1500 x 1500 used, I believe is a V1 because it has belts. After doing all the recommendations and following the all the How To’s the machine seems to be working ok… BUT! there’s a constant chain of high temperature warnings from all drivers, they just keep coming, literally none stop… so what is this? and how to fix it?

The other thing that i’m confused with is: when I turn on the machine it seems fine, but when I home the machine, or move one of the axis, the stepper motor stays on (like a noise that is running) so is this supposed to be like this? are steppers motors supposed to have a running noise going on all the time? or is because of this constant running the reason for getting the high temperature warnings?

Thanks in advance, just a newbie here!

Hi Jonez,

Thanks for your question. On the controller, are the cooling fans working? If so are they blowing the correct way with air follow going towards the controller?

The steppers motors once energised will be on constantly and have background noise. However, this should not bring up the high-temperature warnings.
