'G2/G3: Outside Machine Limits' error

Hi,

I’m running into the apparently infamous G2/G3 arc error when using my Workbee with Fusion 360. I picked the CNC up a couple of months ago (long after the last firmware release) and I have installed the latest post processor for Fusion 360 (V1.0.1).

I came across this video from the carbide 3d folks which seems to explain the problem - has there been a similar patch for the workbee or is there a workaround?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your email.

I don’t believe that the same error explained in that video is present in the WorkBee.

The error you are getting is saying that the machine is too large for the Work Area, and the machine will hit itself.

Can you confirm from your Work Zero there is enough room for the machine to complete the file?

Have you also checked your Z Clearance height?

Also take a look at this answer: I keep getting 'Outside Machine Limits' Error?

Dense alert: you're exactly right. The workpiece was set too far up the bed and the cutter couldn’t reach it. It just so happened to stop on a particular arc and I went down a Google rabbit hole. There was plenty of room on the other end too, just didn't think when I was fixing the piece down.

2 days I lost to that! Live and learn.
