Setting up first job

After months building I am now setting up first job. So step by step I am going through the first project tutorial. I have gotten as far as page 9. When I press gcode viewer all I see is the grid and access symbol, I don’t see any gcode tool paths as indicated in the tutorial. I am sure the gcode has loaded the file is in the job list and I right clicked on it as instructed but I see nothing other than a grid and axis

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

First amended question didn’t work so here goes again.....

Found the problem, it seems to be the android tablet I was using for the controller interface. When I connected my iPad the tool paths miraculously appeared. I am using a cheap android table in the workshop as I am not happy to have an expensive iPad in that environment.

The android tablet I have been using is a Facetel Q6-EEA running android 13 . Is this a known issue and is there a resolution/workaround? I reallly don’t want my iPad in such a dusty shop :)

Hi,

It is only tested with Google Chrome. Are you using Google Chrome?

If the job still does not show in Google Chrome:
- Press the 3 dots in the top right corner and go to 'Settings'
- On the left-hand side go to 'System'
- Turn off 'Use hardware acceleration when available'
- Restart Chrome
It should now work

Hello Robert,

Yes i am using chrome, i cant find any button in chrome settings for 'Use Hardware accel...' it doesn't seem to exist on my android tablet but following your thinking i tried other browsers, MS Edge and Firefox they didn't show the toolpaths either on the android tablets...I tried NC viewer on the android tablet to view a GCode copy on the hard drive and everything was visible...

Then just to verify things i tried to view the toolpaths through safari on my iPhone and the same problem no toolpaths. Eventually i tested on several devices...

Android13 tablet - No toolpaths

Iphone ios 17.1.2 - No tool paths

Ipad ios 12.5.7 - Toolpaths shown

I tried both individually and with all connected at same time to duet this made no difference.

So the only thing which works is the Ipad running an old ios12.5.7

Hi Talfryn,

Thanks for your messages. It is potentially related to the OpenGL versions the different devices are running, which is why the hardware acceleration can cause it not to show.
