GCODE creating single line only on releifs

Hi

I am using Carveco to create designs, Toolpaths appear to be working well and milling comes out as planned,

However when creating a relief it simply won’t work and just a single line on the X Axis is created going back and forth for around 10 minutes.

I am using all the latest versions so not sure if I am missing something fundamental or there is an error with Craveco creating the toolpaths or Duet not reading correctly.

When simulating through the workbee.local the Y and Z axis coordinates don’t move on screen even though they are evident within the Gcode which looks fine.

Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Ricardo,

Ok, have you got our WorkBee post-processor installed here: WorkBee Firmware Releases

I think this may solve the issue you are having.

Thank you for the response, unfortunately not. I had tried this already but gave it another go.

It appears now that both the rouging and the finishing does nothing but cut two straight lines into the project. The G-Code appears to be fine (but not an expert) it seems that when in Duet it cannot read the file correctly, as mentioned despite there being clear references to X,Y and Z movements the Z and Y only move to the first coordinates in the file, the X then only move in a straight line between the first two coordinate points and loops for what would be the length of time to carve the project if it as working before finishing.

I will try and uninstall and reinstall everything as if I was setting up for the first time, I will feedback if this works but any other ideas or support would be much appreciated.

@slick Hi Ricardo,

Can you upload the G-Code file here: https://wetransfer.com/

Then send me the link. I will take a look, and see if the G-Code is being formatted correctly.

Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for your email.

The G-Code is not in the correct format, so I don’t think you have installed our post-processor correctly: WorkBee Firmware Releases

Was there any update on this?

Hi James,

Not sure, but the post processor being incorrect, would normally be the cause of the issue.
