So answer to my own question, I had selected the wrong machine file format, Selected Gcode, instead of Workbee. This frustratingly worked well for me all the way up until this point. A hint to anyone else starting out, make sure to select "WorkBee (mm) (*.gcode)" and not G-Code (mm) (*.tap)

I have reached the end of this guide and realized i have attached the stepper motors on the wrong side, Is this a problem or do they need relocating?

I read this way too late, needs an update in the guide. spent over an hour trying to get these 4 tee nuts to do as described. Thanks Philip

The probe should be orientated so that the tucked-in wire is inside, and the port is outside. diagram shows a hole facing out. frustrating
