Once alerted to the issue I reran the same gcode on a thinner blank and that worked fine. I then reduced the 'Z gap above material' in materials setup and it worked fine.

I have already checked the power going into what I think is called the Duet (the box with the two fans) and nothing registers on the multimeter. When you say you don't need to open the Duet - the front is just a hinged door. The terminals I have checked are the two (Red/Black) in the green terminal box at the bottom just below the fuses This query has been going on for some days now and is getting a tad frustrating. Any chance I could just ring you and do the checks in real time?? If you can ring me then 07921 350374 I would indeed be eternally grateful so I can get on with using the kit. Allen

OK. Only way I can see to do that is to open up the emergency switch to get at terminals but it has a label saying this will void the guarantee. Is this OK for me to do so.

Took out all three and tested them with a multimeter and they were fine. I left the power supply on for a while and it was still stone cold. I would have expected some residual warmth even if it was not providing current anywhere.. Is this the issue??

The bolts supplied are labelled (and actually) M5-Button-Head-Bolt-8mm and these seem ok for the corner pieces (but have not actually tested yet) but the hinges require a different profile so that the hinge can close. Are these meant to be the low profile ones? Can you explain please if I am misunderstanding - if there is a problem can you send replacements please.

Also to save another posting - I have not finished construction yet but one of my wheels has a crack - have seen lots of posts on a CNC Facebook page and this appears to be common. I have one spare in the kit but can you send another please as others have found multiple cracks.

I am at this point and looking ahead. Do you know of any suppliers of suitable material for the enclosure please. Also would it be wise to find some acetate? that is resistant to laser light in case I replace the router with a laser ? I would like to order the materials now on the expectation I will finish building in a week or so time.
