I’ve just completed the “Hello World” project and it worked well but same as Andy and mlp, I couldn’t see any image in the viewer. I was using Chrome. I also tried Edge, just to see if changing the browser would help, but no image there either.
Hi Ryan, when I 1st did this step, I turned off the controller for safety. After I had completed the tensioning I realised that the controller needed to be on to lock the stepper motors. Maybe you could mention that in the instructions.
Hi Ryan, I’m using Windows 10. On Step 2, I copied … M587 S"your-network-name" P"your-password" … into the YAT. It came up with Error: M587: missing parameter. However, it worked fine when I typed in exactly the same information manually.
Hi Ryan, Personally I would say that this was the most difficult of all the tasks as on the 1st attempt LS2 would reach and on the 2nd attempt motor wire 6 wouldn’t reach. 3rd time lucky. Overall its a neat assembly but I am a bit concerned about debris getting through the holes in the top of the controller case. Is it OK to place some fine mesh over these holes or just tape over them?
Hi Ryan, on Step 4, I had to swap an M5x16 bolt for an M5x12 bolt to avoid a foul with one of the Stepper Motor spacers.
Hi Ryan, I found a countersink depth of 15mm a bit too deep as the M5 x 12mm bolts bottomed in the slot. I reduced the countersink depth to about 12mm and was pleased with the result.
