For my 1500x1500 WorkBee I’m cutting my spoiler board 898mm x 1500mm and 462mm x 1500mm so the so i can join them on the extrusion.
When I loosen the screws the flexible coupler turns so the grub screw doesn't sit at the flat end any more. Does this matter? Do I switch off the machine to turn the stepper motor? Ta.
Just setting up on Windows 11… Whole layout slightly (!) different… I eventually worked out that you can access the Control Panel directly by opening a file explorer window, navigate to your Desktop and then add \Control Panel after Desktop (so it looks like this: Desktop\Control Panel) and press Enter.
Hi @robertooznest, yes, but spotted now that you have to bend it 90’ deg. That works now, thanks.
Okay, that’s how I did it: I did this step after assembling the X-Gantry so I could lay it on its side. I didn’t attach the Height-Reference-Tool for the Router Head but inserted the first 4 M5-Drop-In-Tee-Nuts. Then I screwed in the first 4 M5 while alligned at the bottom and tightened so I could still just slide up the router mount. After sliding upi the mount carefully I inserted and aligned the next 4 nuts and slid down the mount to be able to screw in the next 4 M5, tighten until mount still movable. Push up carefully with hight reference tool to crrect hight, making sure the nuts don’t turn and tighten all screws at correct hight. There is probably a much easier way but this worked for me…
Just in case anyone else has problems making sure that during router mount assembly the M5-Drop-In-Tee-Nuts are engaged with the slots on Extrusion-D, I jumped straight there first as I could lay the X-Gantry on its side which made it much easier to attache the router mount (see there for further tips on, well, making sure that the M5-Drop-In-Tee-Nuts are engaged with the slots on Extrusion-D…)
Any handy hints to make sure the M5-Drop-In-Tee-Nuts stay engaged with the slots on Extrusion-D? Mine keep turning, difficult enough to turn them to engage in the first place… Thanks
love the way you describe it with left, right, front and back, but it’s really difficult to work out what’s what :D. Thank goodness there are pictures ;). I use the Drag Chain Mount as a guide - it looks like an L (left) - correct me if I’m wrong. (Unfortunately it’s not show in picture 2, though in 3…)
Where should the cable be positioned? It is very close to the Extrusion D.
