Hello, Have you by any chance gone forward with your project ? I’m also interested, but I’m confused with the addition of additional axis in configuration. Thanks Guillaume
Hi Robert, Thanks for help. So calibrated again using a contour, which is ok, and I’ve done a pocket of same dimensions on these settings, with the correct endmill value, and I still have a 0.60mm difference (positive in the pocket) between these toolpaths. I guess at this point I can do nothing more to improve that. Thanks Guillaume
Hi Robert, I'm using a 6mm endmill, which is actually 5.96 with a digital caliper. Is these 0.04 are accounting, I guess so. When you are calibrating, is it better using a contour or a pocket to calibrate ? Thanks for your help Guillaume
Hello Robert, Yes indeed it’s tabs sorry for my english, I’m currently using Vcarve toolpaths, haven’t tried with Fusion yet, Vcarve is doing the job for the rest, the only reccurent problem that I have is these tabs marks, even with 3D tabs, during contour. I tried several types of 3.17mm end-mills. Please finf pictures attached. Thanks a lot for help. Best Guillaume
Hi Robert, I’ve made a new test, on 3x 40x40 Squares, and from right to left: (1) Square 1 is X40.45 and Y 40.30 (2) Square 2 is X40.40 and Y 40.30 (3) Square 3 is X40.38 and Y 40.30 Each time I modify settings, I’m under or over 40, never exactly 40. However, I’m using MDF for the tests, and I guess it’s not very accurate for testing. My tests are made with a 3.17mm Endmill. Thanks very much for your help Best Guillaume
I just ordered a 1000X1000 model, and I’m struggling a little bit to understand exactly the possible cut depth allowed in 47mm. If I use a 20mm spoilerboard mounted on original spoilerboard support, what is the cut depth left ?
Hello,
